Yael Stein, who is Australian and lives in New York City since 2013, played Lorna Morrello's character in Orange Is the New Black. Yael earned a bachelor's qualification from NIDA. Since her early years, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with Australia's premiere storytellers, luminaries of theatre and visionaries who work behind the scenes in films, television and theatre. Yael's professional career is thriving throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has made New York City her home following her role in the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically-acclaimed production. Yael was co-founder at The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative writing, and creative endeavors through the Bushwick studio.
