Srushti began preparing for her UPSC exam in her third-year of studying engineering. She was unsure if engineering is the best career choice for her. It was later discovered that her ideal job would be within the civil service, and she began to concentrate on this. Her parents urged her to pursue civil work and to find an employment that would benefit the general people. She was driven to be an IAS officer and was committed towards that aim. To achieve UPSC the candidate must do more. When she was preparing in her engineering courses and other classes, she also used to prepare different subjects in UPSC. She set aside time for exam preparation every day. In only one and a half months, she was studying for engineering tests, but stayed clear of all social interactions. The focus she believes is vital to pass the exam for a government job and be able to work within the civil service. She put in a lot of effort to reach her dream to pass the test on her first try. The routine of her day included reading newspapers to keep informed of all the latest information. Also, she received a lot of assistance online, acquiring various studies materials, and also watching Rajya Sabha TV.
